Rosalia
Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia Rosaly, is the Spanish singer of flamenco. When she was a teenager, she has worked both in traditional and popular music. Her music interests have widened to include soul, hip-hop and hip-hop. Pepe Haichuela, a flamenco guitarist and well-known musician, has described the sound of the young singer as sharp with sweetness however with a bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer a Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough making it to the top of Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and eventually getting the Grammy. In 2021, her song La Fama with The Weeknd was released. Motomami, her third album included songwriting collaborations with Cory Henry and James Blake. It was released on March 20, 2022, following the performance of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia has become the only Spanish artist to have performed alone on the popular program. Motomami was the sole female ever to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year twice, as well as three Latin Grammy Awards.
